Big Day for Tom and Pam

Tom Kiehne, '65, and Pam Mathison were married Friday, March 13, at the Zilker Park Clubhouse, overlooking the city of Austin, Texas. Our correspondent, Tom Obert reports that the wedding was casual and great fun - a lot of by-play during the ceremony between the spouses to be and the attendees.
Also in attendance was classmate Lorlee Bartos, late of Dallas, Texas.

Spring break

The JHS Boomer blog has been neglected recently while the trailboss played golf in Scotland, including a round at the Old Course in St. Andrews, above. He'll try to do his chores promptly now, with your help and input, of course. Send news to Rolfsrud@gmail.com

Harland and Dave

Harland Hoffland celebrated his mother-in-law's 90th birthday March 14 at the VFW in Alexandria where he lifted a glass with classmate Dave Serie.

This picture was kindly emailed by Donna Crouse Podratz, '68, who added this thoughtful opinion of the 60-somethings: "I think both guys look good!"
Presently, Donna is helping to sandbag the rising Red River in Moorhead and keeping an eye on her home sump pump.
She's office manager at the Concordia College Parish Nurse Center.

Alex gets an online newspaper

Hi Everyone,
There is a new kid in town.
Steve Hensley has started "The Alexandria Independent." His online newspapers theme is bringing "unity" to Alexandria, by covering things you are interested in. You can find it at http://thealexandriaindependent.com/
I urge you to check it out and give Steve the needed feedback to make this newspaper truly Alexandria's premier online newspaper.

Bev Roers Korkowski tattles

Teacher, teacher, teacher!!!
Stanley was misquoted in his request for a book review. It was NOT two months ago but rather two weeks ago, and I have the note to prove it.
Thank you, teacher, and give Stanley a black star for that negative report.
Bev

Half credit okay?

I rang the doorbell of the nuns that taught at St. Mary's. Does that count for anything???????
