Backroom at The Corral, Site of '65Roundup

Hired hands prepare The Corral for the social event of the year when the Class of 1965 descends on this backroom for its 40th Class Reunion Aug. 6. About 130 classmates and spouses are anticipated, but final totals aren't in yet from Treasurer Karen Schjei Benson. Program details are not final either. The Trailboss is looking for storytellers, with funny, poignant or simply nostalgic tales. If you have a story that relates to our class experience, please be ready to share it. We will also have a time of respect for our deceased classmates, with opportunities for classmembers to offer brief tributes to any of our lost friends. If you'd like to say something then, be ready. John Herdan will be playing some CDs for background music, if you've got a CD we might enjoy, bring it and give it to John. We're hoping mostly to just have good conversations with each other, so there will be a minimum of baldest man contests (whew!), who came the farthest contests (Sorry Sara) and who looks the most like Donald Rumsfeld contests (sorry Paul Strandberg). So the program is pretty much left up to all of us. Bring a thought or plan with you. We're all coming to the reunion because we are interested in each other. We'll try to maximize that. -- If you have any ideas or inclusions for the program, write Trailboss@swpub.com -- Trailboss
