Top: Lynne Spellman, Bill Gilman, Judy Blanchard; Class play cast, Al Wicken, Lynn Halstead.

Upon seeing the class play photo above, George Schultz, one of the sophomore "cops" in the photo, responds: That was "Arsenic and Old Lace" directed by Eileen Habstritt. I was Officer O'Hara. The other two cops were Rick Gorham and Rick Gawthrop. Betty Larson was Elaine, and the two old aunts were Mary Jane Arendt and Lynne Spellman. Glenn Anderson was Mortimer and Dave Overly was Jonathan. Jim Attridge was Einstein, and Dave Susag (in the pith helmet) was Teddy. Man, that was a long time ago! That would have been in the fall of '64, when you guys were Seniors. I haven't thought about that play in ages, but seeing the picture, it all came back in a flash.
Thanks, George. FYI classmates, George grew up to be a jet pilot. Really. After he graduated from the Air Force Academy, he flew C-130's all over the world for eight years. Since then (1979) he has been flying for American Airlines. He was based in Buffalo for the first few years, and has been based in Chicago, flying out of O'Hare since 1984. --Trailboss.
