The Sevey to Open 2006; Serie close to heaven
The Seveys will be traveling the world with some youngsters this summer, but their annual Alexandria golf tourney may go on without them. If you haven't been contacted yet but might want to play this August, contact the trailboss and he'll put you in touch with the usual suspects.
Speaking of the usual suspects, (see photo) the following note came from Dave Serie recently. Apparently he had a spiritual experience at the Alexandria Country Club. No one was there to witness it, however. The cub reporter was elsewhere and couldn't make it. Series writes:
To all-
The Alex Country Club course was in fantastic shape. I was up getting my boat Friday morning and stopped in to get an application for the Resorters. Not sure if I can get in yet but anyway Jeremy from the pro shop said the course is wide open and why not golf, so I did.
It was very relaxing, beautiful weather with no wind, played by myself, worked on a couple of things, shot 18 holes in 2:20 and shot 80, it was as close to Heaven as I'll maybe ever get!
Sorry for the late notice Tom, it would have been fun playing with you.
Dave
