Barb Lovell loses brother, father
Our classmate, Barb Lovell, suffered the loss of her father and her brother within three days of each other. The following obituary is taken from the Echo. Our thoughts and prayers are with Barb.
Bruce Lovell
Bruce Lovell, 58, Alexandria, died suddenly on Tuesday, July 17, 2007. He was a lifelong resident of Alexandria.
Bruce was a master mechanic by trade and was an avid hunter with gun and bow. He was an accomplished fisherman. He was cared for by his family and many friends.
Seven weeks to the day before his death, Bruce accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and he became a Christian. Bruce will be missed greatly by his family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Kerry Ann of Minneapolis; son, Nicholas of Minneapolis; three grandchildren; sister, Barb Lovell of Alexandria; brothers, Bob (Chantell) Hay of Willmar and Barlow Hay of Minneapolis; several nieces and nephews; and his former spouses, Jill and Kim.
Bruce was preceded in death by his grandmother; mother; special friend Jackie Kolle; and his father, who preceded him in death three days before Bruce’s death.
A private family service was held with inurnment at Fron Lutheran Cemetery in Starbuck.
