K.B. checks in from Everette, WA
Stan,
I just wanted to say what a wonderful job you did on your video, regarding the Jefferson High blog. I'm sure somebody has already said this, but you reminded me of the late Charles Kuralt. You could have a future in television if you wanted it!I am sorry to hear that the blog may be slowing down, but please try to keep it going if you can. Sue and I check in frequently -- it is our link to Alexandria.
Sue and I are still plugging away here in Everett, Washington. We live on a lake at the south edge of the city, and it reminds us a bit of Minnesota. Very nice. We certainly appreciated your coverage of my mother's death in December, and I received some nice e-mails as a result of it.
I'm starting my 30th year as a legal author for West Publishing, headquartered in Eagan, Minnesota. The parent company (Thomson) just bought Reuters News, and it's still trying to figure out what to call our legal end of the business. Maybe it will remain as West, maybe not. Whatever they decide to call it, I'm planning to stay there a few more years.
Thanks again for all you have done for the blog.
Karl Tegland
(Trailboss says: Thanks for the kind words, Karl, and thanks so much for the post. And a photo too. That's the spirit! The blog will continue just as long as the personal stuff like what you just wrote comes in. That's the topic that really has value and what folks care about. I am happy to simply post all that kind of material, or even edit it if requested to do so, and will until it doesn't come anymore. Who's next? Trust me, we're not here to embarass people. trailboss@swpub.com)
