Our daughter, Missy (Nolan's Annie) has written in Nolan's blog today, an up-date, as Nolan is having major eye surgery today. As as result to our visit to Boston to see the uveitis specialist, there is a new medical plan recommended. He will have this major eye surgery today (his left eye, good eye) followed by chemotherapy for two years to hopefully put his disease in full remission or cure his disease.
He will be able to have all his treatment here in Albuquerque, and Dr. Foster in Boston assured us that Nolan has been under excellent care here, which was really a relief to know. Not only medically will this be a challenge for Nolan and our family, but this will financially also be a struggle for the family.
In his medical circle he now has three doctors caring for him. Also, he will have to have have blood work every 4-6 weeks to monitor his liver etc. Thanks to all you have supported Nolan and our family.....Nolan continues to need all your prayers and support. This is a long road ahead of him, but we are determined to fight this disease right along with him.
