Note to the chairman

Hi Bob,
Gathering these names and addresses and getting everyone invited is going pretty slow. People are reluctant to participate, it seems, others just don't know about it. And the majority of our class don't have email access. So it is going to be hard to contact everyone as we had hoped to do.

Lorlee Bartos is helping out though. She's got an idea that she wants to make her directory "section" all bold. So she's looked in the class directory to see who is still in lightface and has gone to work to gather their info and get them invited. She's made some phone calls from Dallas. She's had some success too.

She got a hold of Mary Jane and Carol and others and left messages and says that when they check in there will be 11 continguous people all black in the A-B section. Good work, huh?

We're hoping others will take up her challenge and get some more folks invited from their sections. Oh, and another thing. You mentioned we should be inviting teachers and members of other classes as well. Anybody wanting to come is welcome, of course. Do people know this? All they have to do is send $20 to Karen and they're in. We're having a hard enough time getting members of the class of 1965 invited. The rest will just have to get invited by word of mouth, I guess.

How's everything on the lake?

Dear Stan,

Keep up your work. We have to get everybody at least aware of what is going on. How about getting Obert to put another notice in the newspaper? The last one ran on Page 11. It was on the radio too. Maybe if we could do something out of the ordinary to get some attention, we could get it on the front page.

Bob

Hi Bob,

Are you volunteering? Is it time for you to leap tall buildings again? I will send the info to the paper when you're ready.
Stan
