Jackie Kaline Thurk loves to grow flowers

We received a lovely card and note from Jackie Kaline Thurk today. She writes:
Dear Stan,
I'll just drop you a quick note about my last few years. Kenny and I are still dairy farming, hopefully for a few more years. Our 25-year-old daughter, Alicia, thinks she would like to try milking cows.
We have eight grandchildren, five boys and three girls, and we are expecting another one soon. Our youngest daughter, Elizabeth, will graduate from Osakis High School next spring.
I have taken up flower gardening as a hobby.
You suggested mentioning a favorite teacher. That would have to be Mrs. Halvorson. She was such a positive influence in my high school years. She had respect for us and expected the same in return.
That's about all, thanks for sending the letter.
Sincerely, Jackie Thurk
