"... with a handful of peas," said Coach Connor

The late Jefferson High School basketball coach Tom Connor had an expression he used from time to time to describe the accuracy of his team's shooting. It involved peas and a bull. But that is not why we are using this artwork. This is the new logo for the Class of 65 Roundup Best Bull Golf Rodeo. Officials at the beautiful Lake Geneva Golf Course have confirmed tee times for the Class of 1965 Best Bull Golf Rodeo Aug. 6. The event will start at 10 a.m. Organizers hope for a couple dozen golfers for this scramble format event. To join in, send $50 for each player (includes cart, green fees and prizes) to Cowhand Sara Smith Sevey at 260 Alta Vista Avenue, Los Altos, CA 94022. Make checks payable to Sara Sevey. All skill levels are welcome and you do not have to be a member of the Class of 1965 to participate. The Geneva course is located just a cow chip toss away from The Corral, site of the '65Roundup, but if you're an old Connor Cardinal, you probably couldn't hit it with a handful of peas.
