The stampede continues; 127 register to attend

Roundup treasurer Karen Schjei Benson has breathlessly reported the sale of 127 registrations to Saturday's Roundup at The Corral in Nelson. That breaks down to 76 Class of '65 members and 51 guests. All the checks have cleared so far, indicating a high level of fiscal responsibility by paying customers. Karen and her driver, Mark, will load up the cash box and head West to the Corral with the receipts sometime in mid-week.
Potatoes, green beans
Corral manager Linn Chounard has been notified, and early this morning she sent a couple of hands out to dig up more baby potatoes, due to the great turnout. Green bean picking can wait until Friday morning, she said.
Hoist and sing
John Herdan and Betty Larson Butcher are looking for a keyboard to set up a piano bar in a corner of the corral for those who love to hoist and sing.
$15 at the door, no discount
Lynne Spellman Lommen and helpful Bobby Watson are feverishly cutting up paper to make sticky nametags with our pictures on them. (Only 127 nametags, stop grumbling, Bobby!)
You can help by looking over the list below and if you notice that someone who should come is missing, go to work and encourage that friend to come. We can sell a limited number of tickets at the door on Saturday night. Tickets will be $15 each at the door -- no discount for pairs, for obvious reasons. Remember, you don't have to be a class member to attend. You just have to be interested in seeing and talking to members of Alexandria's Greatest Class Ever.
