Paul Donley is Big Man on Campus again at JHS

This article about JHS Boomer Paul Donley appeared in the high school newsletter and was forwarded here by the Cub Reporter.

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Donley as the first Executive Director for the District 206 Education Foundation. Paul grew up in Alexandria, graduating from Jefferson High School in 1964. He brings thirty-seven years of experience to the Foundation, having spent his entire professional career in the field of education. Through a generous donation from Unicel this past summer, the foundation was able to expand its board, hire a part-time executive director and increase its fundraising efforts.

Money raised through the Education Foundation will be used for literacy grants and major curriculum initiatives for the school district.

Neighborhood National Bank has also stepped forward with a generous in-kind donation of office space.

The Education Foundation’s board is an all-volunteer board. Current Board members include: Kathleen Pohlig, Chair, Dr. Joe Merickel, Wayne Elton, Clair Morrison, Bill Leuthner, LuAnn Golberg, Clark Baldwin, Tom Obert, Scott Gronholz, Miriam Svobodny, Susan Scarborough. Terry Quist serves in an ex-officio capacity.
