Just in case, we had Betty and Dave

Just in case things started to get dull Saturday night, these two stalwarts were on standby. Betty Larson had a bunch of smokey favorites for us to sing by the piano and Dave Serie was ready with country kids vs. city kids, bus students vs. town students tales. But things just didn't get dull, in fact, the crowd paused in its non-stop gaiety only grudgingly -- for grace and for golf gifts. Our thanks anyway to Betty and Dave for being there for us. In the photo, above, Dave has just told Betty his story about a beer party near Miltona. We don't know if Betty sang David a tune.
